A typical five-mile car commute emits roughly 1.4 kg of CO₂ each way once you account for the vehicle, the fuel and the cold starts. Replace it with an e-bike and that figure drops close to zero.

Small change, compounding effect

One rider, one commute, every working day, adds up to roughly a third of a tonne of CO₂ a year. Multiply that across a city and the air-quality maths becomes hard to ignore.
